Food is the symptom, not the problem.

If you’ve tried to “fix” your health, your eating, or your body — and nothing seems to stick — it’s not because you’re broken.

Your body is responding.

I’m Alex, an Inner Work & Women’s Health Coach, helping people become healthy and free by addressing what sits beneath the symptoms.

Start with the Period To-Do Guide

Why start here?
Because for many women, the menstrual cycle has been ignored, overridden, or treated as an inconvenience — when it’s actually one of the most useful sources of information we have about our health.
Your cycle reflects how your body is coping with:
-
stress
-
pressure
-
nourishment
-
rest
-
and emotional load
When we ignore it, the body finds other ways to communicate.
For some women, that shows up as exhaustion.
For others, anxiety or inflammation.
And for many, it shows up as a difficult or confusing relationship with food.

The Period To-Do Guide is a gentle, practical place to begin.
It helps you:
-
understand what your body is asking for at different times of the month
-
work with your energy instead of pushing through it
-
notice early signals before they become bigger problems
-
reduce the pressure that often drives food struggles
This isn’t about being perfect or “cycle syncing” your whole life.

It’s about learning to listen — and responding with a little more care.
If you’re curious about working with your body instead of against it, this is the best place to start.

Most people come to me because of food.
Bingeing.
Feeling out of control.
Weight changes.
Confusion about what’s “right.”
But food is rarely the real issue.
It’s usually a response to:
-
stress and pressure
-
emotional load
-
perfectionism
-
being the strong one for others
-
a nervous system that never gets to rest
I help people understand what their body is responding to — so change doesn’t require force or control.
This work is for you if:
-
You’re capable, responsible, and high-functioning
-
You’ve done “all the right things” for your health
-
You don’t want another plan, rule, or quick fix
-
You’re tired of fighting your body
-
You sense there’s a deeper pattern at play
Many of my clients are women and men in leadership, business, and professional roles who have spent years holding everything together.
I don’t do:
-
diets or calorie counting
-
8-week challenges and goodbye
-
telling you what to eat without understanding your life

I do inner work.

That means we work with:
-
the nervous system
-
subconscious patterns formed early in life
-
body awareness and emotional regulation
-
food and body trust
-
and for women, the menstrual cycle as useful information — not an inconvenience
I sometimes call this sideways coaching — because when you stop attacking the symptom and understand the system underneath, things start to shift naturally.
One client came to me because she was bingeing at night and wanted to lose weight.
What we actually worked on was her perfectionism and the role she learned early on to be “the strong one.”

As that pattern changed, her relationship with food settled — and so did her stress, her relationships, and how she showed up in her life.

Different symptoms show up for different people.
The root is often the same.

Clients often tell me they feel:
-
relieved
-
seen
-
calmer
-
more trusting of themselves
-
clearer about what their body actually needs
When the nervous system settles, the body doesn’t need to shout.
If you’re curious about working with your body instead of against it, start gently.
